Ms. Darsiga Sivanandarajah is a Research Assistant attached to the Food Chemistry Programme at National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). She obtained her BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Technology from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka in 2022. Following her graduation, she worked as a Temporary Demonstrator at the same university from November 2022 to February 2025. She then served as a Temporary Demonstrator at the Faculty of Technology, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka from February 2025 to February 2026. She joined the Food Chemistry Programme of National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) as a Research Assistant starting from May 2026. Her current research focuses on the nutrition and bioactive properties of oilseeds.
