Himashee Naranpanawa
Research Assistant - Nanotechnology and Physics of Materials
Himashee Naranpanawa is currently a Research Assistant attached to the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials project of the National Institute of Fundamental Studied (NIFS). She has obtained her B.Sc. degree in Mineral Resources and Technology from the Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka in 2017. She joined the NIFS in 2018 and now reading for her M.Phil. Degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. Her research focuses on purification and modification of natural vein graphite in Sri Lanka for lithium ion batteries. Her research interests include mineral processing and Nano-technology for mineral value addition, mineral development for battery application, mineralogy and petrology.
