Ishara commenced her career with the MAS Family.

Subsequently, she assumed the role of Internal Audit Assistant at E.B. Creasy & Company PLC.

During Ishara's tenure at E.B. Creasy & Company, she accumulated nearly three years of experience across nine sectors, primarily focusing on subsidiaries such as Darley Butler and Company, Laxapana Batteries PLC, Pettah Pharmacy Pvt Ltd, Lanka Special Steels Ltd, Candy Delight Ltd and Ceyflex Rubber Ltd.

 In 2023, Ishara transitioned to NIFS, where she currently serves as an Internal Audit Officer.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, achieving a Second Class at the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.

Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Additionally, she has completed Business Level One and Business Level Two at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Sri Lanka, including training. Currently, she is pursuing a Corporate Level.
