Nimasha began her career with the Sinhaputhra Finance Plc-Kandy as a Recovery Assistant. Then, she worked as a  Project Assistant with The Higher Education for The Twenty First Century (HETC) project at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science, University of Peradeniya. Nimasha joined the NIFS in 2015 as a Management Assistant . She completed a Bachelor of Information Technology (hons) in Lincoln university Malaysia and a Human Resource Management Diploma from Infortec International, Kandy.
