Savani Ulpathakumbura
Research Assistant - Food Chemistry
Savani Ulpathakumbura is a M.Phil Research Assistant in the Food Chemistry project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). She received her B.Sc. (special) degree in Food Science and Technology from University of Peradeniya in 2020 and joined NIFS in the same year. Her research focuses on the anti-hyperglycemic, anti-obesity and anti-oxidative properties of selected edible leafy plants of Sri Lanka. Her research interests include food chemistry and food biochemistry.
