Shashikala Sewwandi
Research Assistant - Condensed Matter Physics and Solid State Chemistry
Shashikala Sewwandi is currently working as a Research Assistant in the Condensed matter Physics and Solid State Chemistry project at National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). She obtained her B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physics from South Eastern University of Sri Lanka in 2022, and joined NIFS in 2024. She is currently pursuing an M.Phil. degree at the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. Her research focuses on synthesis and development of Carbon-based and Semiconductor-based quantum dots for photovoltaic and Bio-medical sensors applications .
Her research interests include Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Dye Sensitized Solar Cell and Bio-medical sensors.
