NIFS Volunteer Researcher Honored with Three Gold Medals
Sachini Piumika Ariyachandra, a final-year undergraduate student who conducted her research in the Microbiology and Soil Ecosystems project at NIFS, was awarded three Gold Medals at the 25th General Convocation of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, held on September 13, 2024. The medals recognized her exceptional academic excellence and outstanding contributions to research.
- Robert Jayasekara Memorial Gold Medal 2024: Awarded for highest final grade point average at the BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Sciences and Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
- Bandusena Amarasinghe Memorial Gold Medal 2024: Awarded for best performance with the highest final grade point average in the Department of Export Agriculture, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
- Agri Environmental Resource Management Gold Medal 2024: Awarded for best performance with the highest final grade point average in the Module of Agri Environmental Resource Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
