Workshop on - Basics of Scientific Methodology
On September 18, 2024, fifty-one students from Matale St. Thomas College visited the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) for a workshop on the Basics of Scientific Methodology. The program aimed to introduce students to fundamental research methods while highlighting the importance and application of scientific research across various fields.
Participants engaged in practical demonstrations of key principles in Physics and Chemistry, enriching their understanding of the subjects. The event was made possible by the contributions of Prof. Siril Wijesundara, Director of NIFS, along with Prof. Rohan Weerasooriya, Prof. Ashoka Kumara, and Dr. Himesh Jayasinghe, whose efforts were instrumental in ensuring the workshop's success.
