Kumuthu received her BSc. (Hons) in Microbiology from Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in 2023 and joined NIFS in the same year. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Institute of Research and Development in Health and Social Care (IRD). She is currently engaged in her MPhil research work. Her research interests include Microbiology and Molecular biology.
