Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics

The main aim of the Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics Division is to conduct research to make scientific advances in the discipline while generating knowledge needed for national development.  We also focus our research on a wide range of areas including Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Distributed Systems, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Data analytics and Data Science.

We also develop applications that can be adopted in biology, chemistry, engineering, geosciences, physics and other disciplines for research and educational purposes.

Further, our educational efforts are realized primarily through our postgraduate training.
